Who am I
I am a multidisciplinary artist working primarily in photography while experimenting with ways images can move beyond the flat surface of a print. My work often begins with a photograph, but it rarely ends there. I’m interested in how images can be transformed through material processes stitched into fabric, folded into books, built into sculptural forms. Experimentation is an important part of my process. I’m drawn to alternative ways of displaying photographs and often think about how the form of the work can influence the way a story is told. Sometimes that means constructing objects, sometimes it means making books or folded structures
Alongside my experimental work, I spend a lot of time photographing the places I visit. I’m drawn to quiet moments—changes in light, small details in nature, and the feeling of being present in a space. When I travel, I use photography as a way to slow down and really take in my surroundings. My work in is grounded in observation, but it’s still connected to how I think about storytelling. I’m not just interested in what something looks like, but how it feels to experience it. Whether it’s a wide landscape or a close-up of a plant or animal, I focus on capturing a sense of connection to the environment.
